Important News

ATTN: Qualifying for the Municipal General Election for the positions of two city council members will begin on August 21, 2017 and will end on August 24, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Dawson County Board of Elections Office,               96 Academy Avenue, Dawsonville, Georgia.

Requirements are:

1. Must have been a resident for one year prior to taking office.

2. Continue to reside within the city during his or her period of service.

3. Is registered and qualified to vote in municipal elections of the City of Dawsonville.

4. Meets any applicable requirements imposed under the Article 14, Chapter 2, of the "Georgia Election Code".

Voter Registration Deadline- October 10, 2017

Municipal General Election- November 7, 2017, Tuesday, Election day 7am-7pm

Advance Voting- (M-F) October 16 - November 03 (8am-5pm)

Attn: *All City Voters will vote at the Dawsonville precinct, Dawson County Board of Elections Office; 96 Academy Avenue, Dawsonville, Georgia.
