Job Title: Firefighter/EMT (Part-Time)
Department: Dawson County Emergency Services
Salary: $12.83 hourly

Performs a variety of emergency operations to protect lives and property in simul¬taneous fire suppression, search and rescue, and patient care activities and assures that all emergency equipment remains ready at all times to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age; possess a GED or high school diploma; Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; First Class Firefighter's Certification or NPQ I; Georgia Basic Firefighters certification. At least six months of experience as an EMT is preferred. Additional requirements includes a valid class B driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); good verbal and written communications; ability to communicate with the public effectively and courteously on a daily basis; ability to meet all in-house testing requirements; pass a background check and drug screening.
