Job Title: Non-Certified Firefighter/EMT-A – Firefighter Recruit Class
Department: Dawson County Emergency Services
Salary: $12.83 Hourly
Status: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
While training for advancement and certification in the Fire Department, performs a variety of emergency operations to protect lives and property in simultaneous fire suppression, search and rescue, and patient care activities and assures that all emergency equipment remains ready at all times to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations. 

Job Requirements:
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, possess a GED or high school diploma, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT A) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.  Must complete NPQ I Firefighter certification and possess ability to attain Class F License within six-months of hire.  Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); good verbal and written communications; ability to communicate with the public effectively and courteously on a daily basis; ability to meet all in-house testing requirements; pass a background check and drug screening.
