Job Title: Non-Certified Firefighter/Paramedic - Firefighter Recruit Class
Department: Dawson County Emergency Services
Salary: $14.00 Hourly

While training for advancement and certification in the Fire Department, performs a variety of emergency operations and paramedic duties to protect lives and property in simultaneous fire suppression, search and rescue, patient care activities and assure that all emergency equipment remains ready at all times to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED; Georgia State Paramedic license; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; Pediatric Life Support or Pediatric, Advanced Life Support, and Basic Trauma Life Support certifications. At least six months Paramedic experience is preferred. Must complete NPQ I Firefighter certification and possess ability to attain Class F License within six-months of hire. Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); good verbal and written communications; ability to communicate with the public effectively and courteously on a daily basis; ability to meet all in-house testing requirements; pass a background check and drug screening.
