Volunteer Coach Awards Banquet
To show our appreciation to the coaches and other voluteers for Dawson County Parks & Recreation, DCPR hosts an annual volunteer awards banquet. Everyone will enjoy a night of dinner, fellowship, and memories.

Spring Sports Opening Day
Opening Day is the big kick-off day for Spring Sports, where all teams are invited to come out to enjoy the wide variety of concessions, games, and activities. Spring Sports participants, ranging from 4-year-olds playing soccer to the 14-year-olds playing baseball, are recognized for their involvement in our biggest youth sports season of the year.

KARE for Kids Community Egg Hunt
Dawson County Parks & Recreation and K.A.R.E. for Kids teams up each year to bring you the annual Community Egg Hunt. Bring the family out for a day of food, Easter Bunny photos, games, egg hunt, and more!
• Easter Saturday
• @ Veterans Memorial Park (football field)
• Pre-hunt activities begin at 11:30AM
• Egg hunt begins promptly at 2:30PM
Those wishing to only participate in the egg hunt should plan to arrive no later than 2:00PM in order to find parking and arrive at event site in time for the start of the egg hunt. The egg hunt portion of the event lasts approximately 5 minutes. Due to the quick nature of the egg hunt portion of the event, arriving after 2:00PM could result in missing the egg hunt completely.
• Egg hunt will be divided into multiple age groups, with the 0-2 years old age group being the only age group in which parents can assist
• FREE admission
• Concessions, photos, facepainting, and other activities available for purchase

"Movies in the Park"
Each summer, Dawson County Parks & Recreation holds two movie nights: one in June (once school is out for the summer) and one in August (once school starts back)! Movies are shown on a huge, 2-story tall, inflatable screen. Come out early for fun & activities. The fun includes children's activities, concessions, and more! Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show!
Movie titles will be announced in the weeks prior to each event. To make your suggestion on what movie to show, please contact the main office at 706-344-3646 or email recreation@dawsoncounty.org.

Fall Pep Rally
Fall Pep Rally is the big kick-off day for Fall Sports, where all teams are invited to come out to enjoy the wide variety of concessions, games, and activities.
