Dawson County Board of Commissioners is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services on an on-call basis under an annual contract to provide disaster debris removal and disposal services. It is the intent of this solicitation to enter into a pre-event contract, which would result in no immediate cost to Dawson County, Georgia. This solicitation by Dawson County Board of Commissioners will result in the selection of three (3) experienced firms to remove and lawfully dispose of disaster-generated debris (other than household and recyclable garbage) from public property and public rights-of-way, and to setup and operate Temporary Debris Staging and Reduction Sites (TDSRS) in Dawson County, Georgia immediately after a disaster. This RFQ may be used as a means of pre-qualifying potential suppliers. The County does not guarantee a minimum value for this contract.
Sealed proposals may be delivered to 25 Justice Way, Suite 2223, Dawsonville, GA 30534 until 10:30AM on Friday, October 10, 2014. The outside of the shipping container/envelope must be marked with the appropriate bid number and title. Immediately following the deadline only the names of proposers will be recorded and read in the Administration Training Room at the above address. Detailed proposal documents are available below.
Questions in reference to the above RFQ should be in writing to the Dawson County Purchasing Director, Davida Simpson at email@example.com or faxed to 706-531-2728 before 1:00 PM on September 23, 2014. All answers will be answered via addenda no later than by 5:00 PM on October 2, 2014.
The Dawson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award the bid based on the highest and best interests of Dawson County.
