Dawson County’s State Road 400 Commercial Corridor to Get New Street Lights

During the June 16, 2016 Voting Session, the Dawson County Board of Commissioners voted to approve an agreement with Georgia Department of Transportation that will provide 33 LED street lights on SR400 around the SR53 intersection. GDOT will provide the light poles and the installation, while Dawson County will provide maintenance and pay for the energy usage. The cost to Dawson County is expected to be approximately $6,800 per year for all 33 poles. Installation is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
